College Essay - My Christian Faith

As a aflame worshipper of Jesus christ and g haggleing up in a family strongly root in Christian beliefs, the musical theme of a different linear perspective on religion seemed profitless to me. Who wouldnt believe in the while who was God in the flesh, endured tremendous torture, and ultimately gave his demeanor so that our sins would be forgiven? I would soon find go forth as my church building pilgrimage took me to a place I never thought I would go. At confirmation break up one Wednesday evening, my youth loss leader informed us we would be see a Jewish synagogue to experience how others in our community worship. The thought of come in a place safe of people devoted to a religion that was different than mine completely bewildered me. The deal ride there was total of wandering thoughts and preconceived notions of this mystifying place.\nWe pulled up and the building was utterly beautiful, almost like something that belonged in a magazine. Outside the large woode n doors, which seemed to be in two ways the size of my 67 brother, waited a man with a robe and a humble hat covering further the tip of his head. He welcomed us with a polite how-do-you-do and held the door as each wide-eyed child meandered through. To the go away and right, baskets were filled with those same hats that the man who greeted us was wearing. We learned that these hats were c exclusivelyed yarmulkes and were ordinarily worn by men, which is a Jewish tradition. Each row of the synagogue was lined with visiting people and Torahs. The service began with on-key voices and silent prayers, similar to how my church service begins. Throughout the service, the rabbi taught lessons of faith, pleased the congregation, and sometimes spoke in a strange manner of speaking that I couldnt kind of understand. Near the end of the service, offerings, called Korbanot, were accomplish and a reading from The Torah was given.
